REGULATIONS
I. Purpose and Objectives
The goals of the tournament:
– Promotion and development of Bushido-SHOOTO as a mass and high-performance sport;
– Improvement of athletes’ skills;
– Encouragement of youth engagement;
– Improvement of referees’ qualifications.
II. COMPETITION VENUE AND DATE
– Venue: Kaunas “Zalgiris” Sports School, Pasiles g. 41, Kaunas
– Date: 2025-06-07
– Time: From 9:00 AM
III. MANAGEMENT
– The competition is organized and managed by the SHOOTO / Lithuanian Bushido Federation;
– Head referee of the event: Vilius Tarasevicius.
IV. COMPETITION PARTICIPANTS
– All martial arts organizations are allowed to participate in the open competition.
V. COMPETITION RULES
According to International SHOOTO rules:
- U11 (ages 9–10) – fight duration: 2 minutes, with a possible 1-minute extension; striking technique without contact to the head, grappling technique and ground fighting without strikes;
- U13 (ages 11–12) – fight duration: 2 minutes, with a possible 1-minute extension; striking technique without contact to the head, grappling technique and ground fighting without strikes;
- U15 (ages 13–14) – fight duration: 3 minutes, with a possible 1-minute extension; full striking, grappling technique and ground fighting without strikes;
- U18 (cadets, ages 15–17) – fight duration: 4 minutes, with a possible 2-minute extension; full striking, grappling technique and ground fighting with strikes to the body;
- U21 (juniors, ages 18–20) – fight duration: 4 minutes, with a possible 2-minute extension; full striking, grappling technique and ground fighting with strikes to the body;
- Adults (men and women) – fight duration: 4 minutes, with a possible 3-minute extension; full striking, grappling technique and ground fighting with strikes to the body;
In U18, U21, Adults, finals are held in two (2) rounds of three (3) minutes. If the final round ends in a draw, an additional two (2) minute round is added. There is a one (1) minute break between rounds, if the number of warnings for both fighters is equal or none.
Prohibited techniques – in all age groups and categories: strikes with elbows and head are forbidden.
VI. EQUIPMENT AND UNIFORM
Mandatory uniform: shorts and tight-fitting T-shirt.
Required personal protective equipment:
– groin guard,
– mouth guard,
– hand wraps.
Protective gear provided by the organizer:
– helmet,
– gloves,
– shin guards,
– Body vests for age categories U11 and U13.
VII. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS
All unforeseen situations are pre-discussed by the referee board.
During the registration check, participants must have:
– birth certificate or passport;
– medical certificate allowing participation in contact combat sports,
issued by a certified sports medicine doctor (otherwise, the athlete is not allowed to participate).
VIII. TOURNAMENT PROGRAM
June 7
- 9:00 – Arrival of participants
- 9:30 – 11:00 – Weigh-in, referee meeting
Responsible persons: Vilius Tarasevicius, Ilgaras Gruzinskas - 11:00 – Start of the tournament
- 17:00 – Event closing, awards ceremony
IX. WINNER DETERMINATION AND AWARDS
Winners and medalists are determined according to LBF / SHOOTO rules.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category are awarded diplomas and medals.
X. COMPETITION FUNDING
The event is funded by the championship organizers.
Entry fee for participants: 25 euros.
